Johari Lal Soni

People around Dendon Ka Bas 36 know us well. It is a tight street and sometimes the traffic gets a bit much, but we like it here. Johari Lal Soni is just the name on the board, but inside it is just a few of us working away most days. We have been in this spot for quite some years now. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint maybe, but it feels like home to us. You can usually find one of us sitting by the front desk handling whatever comes through the door. It is not a fancy place with bright lights or glass walls. We keep things simple. Most of our day is spent talking to the neighbors or sorting through the items. When the sun gets too hot, we just pull the shutters a bit and keep going. It is funny how time passes when you are busy with the same routine every morning. We do not have a big team of people in suits. It is just the family and a couple of helpers who have been around long enough to know where everything is kept. If you walk past number 36, you will probably see us. Sometimes we are just drinking tea and waiting for the next task. It is a way to make a living. Nothing more to it than that really. We just show up and do the work that needs doing.
