Jeev Raj Chouhan

Jeev Raj Chouhan is based over at Dhola Chotra Jangiwara 16. It’s a quiet enough corner compared to the main markets, but we stay busy enough. The building is old and has a lot of character, though the stairs can be a bit creaky when you're carrying heavy stuff up and down. We have been here at number 16 for years. Most people who stop by are locals who live just a few streets away. We don't use computers for everything because the old way of writing things down still works fine for us. Sometimes the weather gets really hot and we have to slow down in the middle of the afternoon. You won't find any glossy brochures or sales pitches here. We just show people what we have and let them decide. It is a simple way of running things, but it has kept us going through all the seasons. My family has lived in this area for a long time, so everyone knows the Chouhan name. We handle the daily chores, sweep the front every morning, and wait for the day's tasks to arrive. It is not a big operation, just a handful of us making sure everything stays on track. We appreciate the people who take the time to visit us in Jangiwara. It’s just how we live and work every day.
