Govardhan Singh Rajpurohit

Govardhan Singh Rajpurohit is my name, and I stay and work in Sojat City, over in the Narshinghpura area. If you know Rajasthan, you know Sojat is famous for a few things, but for me, it is just home. Narshinghpura is a quiet enough neighborhood, though during the festival seasons, it can get quite lively with everyone out in the streets. I’ve lived here for a long time, and the business grew out of just being part of the community. My setup isn't anything fancy; it’s just a practical space where I handle my day-to-day affairs. I spend a lot of time talking to locals and people from the surrounding villages who come into Sojat for trade. The weather can be really tough, especially in the peak of summer when the heat is just sitting there, but we are used to it. I don't use much technology besides my phone and some notebooks where I write everything down so I don't forget. My family is around too, so work and life kind of blend together most of the time. People know where to find me if they have a question or need something handled. It’s a simple life and a simple business, based on trust and showing up every day to do the work. I don’t see the need for a big polished office when a chair under a fan does the job just fine.
