I’ve been set up in Rani Partap Bazar for quite a few years now. If you know the market area, you know it can get pretty loud and crowded, especially on the weekends. My shop isn't the biggest one on the street, but I have enough room to keep my goods organized. I mostly deal with everyday items that the local families need. I wake up early to get things ready before the morning rush starts. It’s a lot of standing around and talking to people who pass by. Some days are slow, and I just sit on my stool watching the traffic go by, while other days I don't even have time to eat lunch. I don't use any fancy computers to keep track of things; I just have a ledger where I write down what comes in and what goes out. The roof leaks a little when it rains hard, so I have to move some stock around to keep it dry. People in the bazaar all know each other, so there's always someone to chat with if things are quiet. I don't have any big plans to expand or anything. I just want to keep the shop running like it always has. It’s a simple way to earn a living, and I’m happy being part of the local market community here. I try to stay honest and do my best.
