Gajendra Kumar Soni

My name is Gajendra Kumar Soni and I am located in Sojat City, specifically in Sunaro Ka Bas. If you know this area, you know it’s where a lot of the traditional work happens. I’ve been here for many years, following in the footsteps of those who were here before. It’s a tight-knit neighborhood. Everyone knows everyone else’s business, which can be good and bad, I suppose. My shop is simple. I don't believe in having a lot of flashy lights or big advertisements. People find me because they know the name or someone told them where to go. Sunaro Ka Bas is always full of noise, hammer sounds and people talking. I like the energy of the street. Inside, it’s a bit quieter, but not much. I keep a small fan going during the summer because it gets really stuffy in here. I try to keep things tidy, but when you are working with your hands, there is always a bit of a mess. That’s just the way it is. I don’t have a fancy website or a marketing person. It’s just me, Gajendra Kumar Soni, doing the work day after day. If you pass by, you’ll see me sitting at the bench or talking to a neighbor. We don’t rush things here. We take the time needed to do it right. It’s a bit of an old-fashioned way of doing things, but I think it works best for what we do.
