Dashrath Singh

I've been here in Sojat City for a long time now. My place is right by the Nursing Temple in the Dholiwari area. It’s a quiet spot, really. People around here know me as Dashrath Singh. I started doing this work because I needed something to stay busy and it just stuck. There isn’t a whole lot to say about it, it's just what I do every day. I open up early and stay until the sun goes down usually. Sometimes it gets busy, sometimes it stays pretty slow. That's just how life goes in this part of town. The temple brings a lot of people through, so I see a lot of faces passing by. I try to keep things simple. No fancy stuff here. Just honest work. The building itself is old, but it stays cool in the heat. I’ve lived around Dholiwari most of my life so I know the neighbors and the shops around here. If you are walking near the temple you will see the sign. It’s not a big sign but it’s there. I handle most things myself. If it’s a big job I might get some help, but usually it’s just me. I like the routine of it all. It keeps me grounded. People stop by to chat sometimes even if they don't need anything done right then. It's that kind of neighborhood. I plan on staying here as long as I can. It's home for me. It’s a good life even if it is quiet.
