Chandra Prakash Joshi

I’m Chandra Prakash Joshi and I’ve got my place set up in Ghee Ka Zanda, right in Amardas Ji Ki Gali. It’s an old part of the city and the lanes are quite narrow. You can’t really drive a big car through here, so most people just walk. I like the history of this area. My family has been around here for a long time. The office is small and tucked away, which I prefer. It’s quiet enough that I can get my work done without too many distractions. There’s a certain smell to the air here, like old buildings and cooking from the nearby houses. I don’t use any fancy signs or neon lights to show where I am. People who need me usually ask the neighbors or they already know the way. I spend my mornings going through my books and my afternoons meeting whoever stops by. It’s a very traditional way of doing things. I don't have a big staff, just me mostly. I handle the paperwork and the talking myself. The walls are thick stone, so it stays cool even in the summer. It’s a simple life and I’m happy with how things are going. I don't see any reason to change it or move to a modern building. This lane is where I belong. Sometimes people get lost in the alleys, but I think that’s part of the charm of Ghee Ka Zanda. It keeps the world outside at a distance and lets me focus on the task at hand.
