Krishna Puram School

Our school is tucked away in Row House No 2, right on the lane where Deepak Hospital is located. Being in a row house makes the school feel a bit different than those bigger buildings you see around Mira Road. It is a bit more contained and feels more like a home. We have been here for a long time, and the neighbors mostly know us by the sound of the bell or the kids playing out front. Space is something we have to be smart about. We have turned the rooms into classrooms, and while they are not huge, they fit what we need for the day. Sometimes the lane gets a bit blocked with cars or ambulances going to the hospital, so it can be a bit chaotic during the morning drop-off times. We just deal with it. The interior is very simple. We have the usual stuff like wooden benches, blackboards, and cupboards full of old records and supplies. Some of the paint is peeling a bit in the corners, but we fix it up when we get the time and the budget. It is a very local operation. Most of the people working here have been around for years. We do not go in for anything too fancy. We just focus on getting through the syllabus and making sure the kids are safe while they are with us. It is a practical setup for a neighborhood school. We are just a group of people running a school out of a house in Thane.
