Krishna Rao Bawley Arya Kanya School

We operate out of Shop No. 8 in Rishabh Tower, which is part of Gokul Village over in Mira Road. It is a bit of an unusual spot for a school, being in a shop unit, but we have made it work for quite some time now. The tower is a well-known landmark in this part of Thane, so it is easy to find. Since we are on the ground level, there are always people walking past the windows. We had to put up some thick curtains so the students would not get too distracted by everything going on outside in the village streets. It is a busy area with lots of shops and families moving about. Inside, we have divided the space to accommodate the different classes. It gets a bit tight sometimes, especially when we have a lot of students in at once. We spend a lot of time organizing and reorganizing the furniture to make sure everyone has a place to sit. The walls are covered with student work and a few old charts. It is not a big corporate institution. We are just a small school in a shop unit trying to do our part. Sometimes the plumbing gives us trouble or the air conditioning needs a service, but we just get it fixed and keep going. Most of the families who send their daughters here live right in the Gokul Village area. It is a very local, down-to-earth kind of place where everyone knows each other.
