Database Company

Our shop is tucked away in the Hillton Arcade Shopping Center. We are at Shop Number 31 on Evershine Road in Vasai East. It is pretty easy to find because we are right opposite the SBI Bank. Most people use the bank as a landmark when they are coming to see us for the first time. We call ourselves Database Company because that is mostly what we deal with all day. The shop isn't very big, so things can get a bit cramped when all of us are in at once. We have a couple of old desks and some shelves full of paperwork and hard drives. Vasai is a bit of a haul from the main city, but we like the pace here. It’s quieter than Mumbai. On hot days, the fan in the corner makes a clicking sound that we’ve all learned to ignore. We mostly just sit and manage records and lists for people who need them. It’s not the most exciting work in the world, but it keeps us busy and the rent is paid. Sometimes the internet acts up when it rains, so we just take a tea break and wait it out. There are a few other shops in the arcade, like a mobile repair place and a tailor, so there is always someone to chat with. We don’t have a big sign or anything, just the shop number on the door.
