It doesn't look like one of those typical office buildings you see in the city, which we actually prefer. We handle infotech work, so there are quite a few computers and wires running along the floors inside. Being here in Kerala, the scenery around us is very nice, though it gets incredibly humid during the summer months. We are a small team, and we mostly keep to ourselves and focus on the tasks at hand. We don't have a lot of formal meetings or big presentations with charts. Most of our communication happens just by talking across the room to each other. We started this private limited company because we had the technical skills and wanted to stay in this local area rather than moving away. Palakkad is a good area to work in because it has its own quiet pace. We spend our mornings checking through emails and then we dive into whatever projects we have on the table. Sometimes we stay late when we're in the middle of a difficult technical problem that needs solving. There isn't any fancy art on our walls or a break room with games. We just have a small kitchen area for snacks and our workstations. It's an honest way for us to make a living. We like the peace here.
