Nuapada Khariar Farmer Producer Company Limited is based right on the Main Road in Tukla, over in the Khariar area. Sarathi Dash is the person who looks after our space there. Being on the main road means we see a lot of people passing through, and we often have farmers stopping in to chat or ask for advice. It’s a busy spot, especially on market days. We are just a group of local people who decided to organize things a bit better for the farmers in our part of Nuapada. We don't have any big corporate backing or fancy equipment. It is mostly just notebooks, a few chairs, and a lot of talking. We know how hard it is to make a living from the land around here, so we try to be as helpful as possible. Sometimes it feels like we are just trying to keep up with all the paperwork, but that is part of the job. We don't use big words or try to impress anyone. We just want to get the work done so everyone can go home at the end of the day feeling like they’ve made a bit of progress. Tukla is a good place to be, and being on the Main Road makes it easy for everyone to find us. We’ve been here for a while and we plan on staying. It’s just honest, local business. We don't worry about sounding fancy, we just worry about the crops.
