Maasunadei Producer Company Limited

Maasunadei Producer Company is based out of Silatpani, which is a bit of a trek in the Nuapada district. We work out of the space at Plot No.550, and Suresh Kumar Behera is the one who helps keep things organized for us. Our records are all tied to Khata No.237/196. We are just a group of local producers trying to get things moving. It’s not a polished business by any means. Most of us have dirt under our fingernails from the day's work. We gather in Komna to discuss what we’re going to plant or how the prices are looking. Nuapada can be a dry place, so we have to be smart about what we do. We don't have fancy brochures. If you want to know about us, you just come by and talk. We deal with whatever the local farms are growing. It's a lot of coordination and sometimes things get a bit messy with the schedules. But we’ve lived here all our lives, so we know how to handle the local issues. Being in Orissa, we have to deal with the weather and the roads, which isn't always fun. We just try to support each other and make sure everyone gets a bit of help when they need it. The office is just a place to store some files and meet up. We keep it simple because that’s what works for us in Silatpani.
