We converted the space into an office so we could have a place to work. It’s not a huge space, but it fits our desks and the few computers we have. Jahangir Puri is a busy area, and there is always something going on outside. We can hear the kids playing or the vendors shouting their prices sometimes. It keeps things from being too quiet. Inside, we just focus on the management side of things. There are a lot of spreadsheets and lists involved in what we do. We aren't trying to be some big corporate firm. We’re just local people working in the neighborhood. We have a few plants on the windowsills that we sometimes forget to water, but they seem to be holding on. The carpet is a little worn in the spots where we roll our chairs back and forth. We don't have a fancy waiting room, just a couple of plastic chairs by the door. Most days are pretty routine. We arrive, check the messages, and start working through the pile. It’s a practical way to run a business. We like being in this part of Delhi because it feels real. No pretense, just work and a lot of daily tasks to finish before we head home.
