Our yard is tucked away in Gali No 16 over in Jeewan Park, Siraspur. It is a dusty place, as you would probably expect when you are dealing with heavy building materials all day long. We spend a huge amount of our time outside moving things around or loading up vehicles. Trucks come in and out through the narrow lane, which can be very tricky if a driver is not used to the tight turns. We handle all sorts of things like bricks, bags of cement, and loads of sand. It is hard physical work and your hands get rough, but it is what we do to make a living. We do not have a fancy showroom or a reception area. It is just the main gate, the big piles of supplies, and a small shaded area where we keep the ledger books. Most of our day is spent talking to local contractors or homeowners who need a load of something delivered to their site. We try to be as quick as we can with the orders, though sometimes the weather or the heavy traffic in Siraspur makes things slow down more than we would like. We have been in this exact spot for quite a long time now. Everyone on the street knows the sound of our trucks by heart. It is not a glamorous job at all, but it is honest work that keeps us busy. We keep track of everything on paper.
