Bengali Collections

You can find Bengali Collections over in Rohini Sector-9. It’s a residential neighborhood mostly, so it’s a bit more relaxed than the big commercial hubs. We’ve got a small storefront that we try to keep tidy, though with all the stock coming in, it gets crowded pretty fast. The light in the shop is a bit dim towards the back, so we usually have to bring things to the front to show people the colors properly. We don’t have any big signs or flashing lights. It’s just a simple board with our name on it. Most of the people who come in live nearby and have been coming to us for a few years. They know our names and we know theirs. We spend a lot of our time folding things and putting them back on the shelves after someone has looked through them. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but we don't mind it. Sometimes the neighbors stop by just to talk about the weather or local news while we work. We don’t use any fancy computers to track everything; a lot of it is still written down in our big ledger books. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. Sector-9 is a good place to be because it feels like a community. We’re just a small part of the local scenery, tucked away in one of the blocks here.
