Black Collection

If you are standing near the Rani Bagh Bus Stand, you are basically right near us. Black Collection is located at Wz-877 in Shakur Basti, which is a very crowded and lively part of Rani Bagh. It’s the kind of place where there is always noise from the buses and people walking by the shop front. We spend a lot of our day just organizing the stock and talking to people who wander in from the street. The shop isn't massive, so we have to use every bit of space we have on the walls and the racks. It gets pretty packed in here during the festival seasons or when there’s a sale going on nearby. We don’t have a big corporate team behind us; it’s just us managing the day-to-day stuff. The lighting is bright so people can see what they are looking at, and we try to keep things tidy, though it’s hard when it’s busy. Shakur Basti is a place with a lot of history and a lot of small shops like ours. We’ve seen many businesses come and go, but we’ve managed to stay put at this address. It’s a lot of work standing on your feet all day, but that’s just how retail is in a place like Rani Bagh. We don't use any fancy sales talk, we just show people what we have available on the shelves. It is what it is.
