Ramnath Stores

Ramnath Stores is tucked away in the Vikas Chamber at G 1 and G 2 in Rohini. Being in a commercial building like this means we get a lot of office workers coming in during their lunch breaks or after they finish for the day. It’s a different vibe than a street-side market. We have two units, so there’s a bit more room for us to keep our inventory than some other places. We spend a lot of time checking lists and making sure the shelves aren't empty. It’s a lot of back-and-forth between the front and the storage area. The lighting in the chamber isn't always the best, but we've added a few extra bulbs so people can see what they’re looking at. We aren't trying to win any awards for how the shop looks. It’s practical and it serves its purpose. Most of the people who come in are in a hurry, so we try to be quick with the change and the packing. We don't have a lot of time for long conversations, but we know the regulars by name. Running a store in Rohini keeps you on your toes because people expect things to be available when they need them. We just do our best to stay stocked up and keep the doors open during the hours we promised. It’s a steady life and we’re happy to be here.
