Nouvelle Mode

You’ll find us on the first floor of F-19/3 in Sector-8, Rohini. It’s a typical neighborhood building where a lot is going on. At Nouvelle Mode, we focus on the garments and the patterns we have spread out on the cutting tables. The light isn't always the best, so we use a lot of desk lamps to see what we are doing. We have sewing machines lined up and there’s always a hum of motors in the background. It’s not a showroom; it’s more of a workshop where we actually make things. We have threads of every color imaginable hanging on the walls. Most of the staff comes from nearby blocks, so we’re all pretty familiar with each other. We don't have a formal dress code or anything like that. We just show up and start working on the current batch of clothes. Sometimes the deliveries are late because of the traffic in Rohini, but we just adjust our schedule. We have a small corner for tea and snacks which is where most of the talking happens. The floor is usually covered in small scraps of fabric by the end of the day. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy website. We just rely on the work we do to keep us going. It’s a bit tight for space, but we make it work every day.
