A Style

Our shop, A Style, is tucked away at B3/67A in B Block of Agar Nagar. It’s right on Mubarakpur Road in the Pram Nagar Iii area. It’s a local neighborhood, so we see the same faces every day. We do a lot of sewing and clothes making here. The sound of the sewing machines is the background music to our lives. We have rolls of fabric leaning against the walls and threads of every color you can imagine. People come in with an idea for a dress or just need their trousers shortened. We take measurements and draw on the cloth with chalk. It’s a small shop and it can get a bit cramped when we have a lot of orders. Especially during the wedding season, we are working late into the night. We don't have a polished showroom with lights and models. It’s just us, some scissors, and a lot of pins. We talk to the ladies from the colony about the latest patterns they saw on TV. Sometimes a needle breaks or the thread bunches up, and we just have to start that bit over again. It’s a simple business built on hard work and local trust. We aren't trying to be a big brand, just a reliable place for clothes in Agar Nagar.
