Style On India

Style On India is located on the first floor over in Mangolpur Kalan. If you know where the Allahabad Bank is, we are right near there. It’s a busy area and the roads can be a bit rough, but we’ve been here at Khasra No. 1562 for a while. The workshop is usually loud with the sound of sewing machines running all day. We do a lot of production here. Fabric rolls arrive in the morning and by evening, there are piles of finished pieces waiting to be packed. It’s not a fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s a working space where things get made. I spend most of my time checking the stitching or talking to the guys who bring in the raw materials. Sometimes we run behind schedule when the electricity goes out, which happens more than I’d like. We just deal with it and work late if we have to. The village area has its own rhythm. Everyone knows everyone else. We have locals working here and they’ve been with us for a long time. It feels more like a community than a factory. We focus on making clothes that people can actually afford and wear every day. Nothing too complicated, just solid work. It gets hot in the summer, but we keep the fans going and get through the orders. If you ever come by, you’ll probably find me sorting through stock or checking the cutting table.
