Jyochandra Computers

Jyochandra Computers is located in Block - Q No. 2/36 in Mangolepuri. It’s a small place, but we’ve packed it with all the spare parts and cables we can fit. Working with computers in a place like Mangolepuri means you see a lot of old machines that people are trying to keep running for just one more year. We spend most of our time with a screwdriver in hand, opening up cases and blowing out the dust. It’s not a high-tech lab, just a workbench with a couple of soldering irons and some testing monitors. We see all kinds of problems, from spilled tea on keyboards to hard drives that have just given up. We don't have a receptionist; you just walk in and talk to whoever is free. Most of the time, that’s me. We try to be honest about what’s worth fixing and what’s a waste of money. The neighborhood is loud and there’s always something going on outside the door, but once you’re inside, it’s just the hum of the cooling fans. We’ve been here long enough that people trust us with their data and their machines. It’s a decent life, fixing things and helping people get back to their work or their games. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back. We also keep a few refurbished laptops for sale when someone’s old one finally bites the dust for good.
