Mamta Foods

Mamta Foods is based out of Gupta Nivas, which is in the Lawrence Road Industrial Area. If you know Keshav Puram, you know it is a place where there is always work going on. The industrial area is full of warehouses and factories, and ours is one of them. We handle food products, so we spend a lot of our time cleaning and making sure the machines are in good shape. The floors are hard concrete and we are on our feet most of the day. It’s not the kind of place where you wear a suit. We wear aprons and hats to stay clean. The noise from the other units around us is constant, with trucks loading and unloading in the narrow lanes. Sometimes it takes a long time just to get a vehicle in or out of the gate. We have a small crew and we all know each other well. There is a small corner where we keep our lunch boxes and a water cooler. The lighting inside isn't the best, but we know where everything is kept. We don't bother with fancy packaging or big slogans. We just focus on getting the orders ready for the distributors who come by in the evening. It is hard work and the days are long, but we have been doing this at Gupta Nivas for quite some time now.
