Vista Do Rio Resort

We have been running this place in Porvorim for quite some time now, located just after the PDA plots. It is a bit of a hidden spot, away from the main noise of the highway. The resort isn't one of those new, glass-and-steel buildings you see popping up everywhere. It has a more traditional look and shows its age in some corners, but we think that gives it a bit of character. Most of the people who find us are looking for a quiet stay that doesn't cost them a fortune. My cousins and I grew up in this area, so we know the shortcuts and where to get the local bread in the morning. The garden area gets really green after the rains, which is nice, but it also means we spend a lot of time cutting back the weeds. We have a pool, but it’s just a normal one, nothing fancy. Sometimes the Wi-Fi acts up when it’s windy, but that’s just part of being in this part of Goa. We aren't a big corporation with fancy uniforms. We wear what's comfortable and try to help people out when they ask for directions to the beach. The rooms are basic, clean, and have what you need for a night or two. It’s a practical place to stay if you’re visiting family or just passing through. We’re just local people managing a local business day by day. We've seen a lot of guests come and go over the years. Some stay for a week, others just for a night.
