Smart Kids Preprimary School

We've been running Smart Kids Preprimary School right here in Housing Board Colony for quite some time now. House No 1340 is where we spend our mornings with the little ones from around Alto Porvorim. It’s a busy place. You'll hear plenty of shouting and laughing when you walk past the gate. We mostly focus on getting the kids used to being away from home for a few hours. The rooms aren't huge, but they do the job just fine for drawing and playing with blocks. Most of the parents live close by, so we see a lot of the same faces every day at drop-off. It’s nice living and working in the same area. We have a small yard where they can run around when the weather in Goa isn't too hot or rainy. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when everyone is trying to put their shoes on at the same time, but that's just how it goes with kids this age. We don't have fancy gadgets, just some basic toys, books, and teachers who know all the children by name. It feels more like a big family than a formal school sometimes. If you're looking for us, we're just down the road from the main housing office. It's easy to find. We just try to keep things simple and make sure the kids are safe and reasonably happy until their parents come back to get them in the afternoon. It works for us and the families here.
