Vashisht Dhatu

We are located right on Loni Road, which is always dusty and full of trucks going back and forth. Vashisht Dhatu is basically a place where we deal with different kinds of metals and scrap. The yard is full of piles of iron and copper, and there’s always the sound of metal clanging against metal. It’s not a quiet place to work, that’s for sure. We have a small office area that’s mostly just a desk covered in papers and a couple of heavy ledgers. The gate stays open all day, letting in all the noise and heat from the street. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything like that because that’s not what we do. People come here to buy or sell metal, and they usually know what they are looking for. The sun beats down on the metal piles in the afternoon, making everything hot to the touch, so we usually wear heavy gloves. Our clothes are always stained with rust or grease, but that’s just part of the job on Loni Road. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the truck drivers who pass through regularly. It’s honest work and it keeps us moving from sunrise until we pull the shutters down at night. There’s always something that needs to be sorted or moved, so the days go by pretty fast even when the weather is bad or the road is jammed.
