Shri Ganesh Fire Work

Our shop, Shri Ganesh Fire Work, is at 668 A in Chander Lok. We're right on the Main 100 Ft Road, just across from the LIC building. If you're in Shahdara, you've probably driven past us many times. We sell fireworks, so our business goes in waves. Most of the year it’s quiet, and we just sit here and keep things organized. But when wedding season or Diwali hits, it’s absolutely crazy. We have boxes piled up to the ceiling. It’s a family thing; I took over from my father a few years ago. We spend a lot of time checking the stock and making sure everything is stored exactly how it should be. Safety is the main thing on our minds. The shop isn't big and the floor is a bit uneven, but it’s been home for a long time. We don't do any online sales or fancy marketing. People just know we are here on the main road. We talk to every customer, explaining which crackers are loud and which ones are just for show. Sometimes we get a bit tired of the noise outside from the 100 Ft Road, but it’s a good spot for business. We aren't some big chain. We're just a local shop in Durga Puri. We like seeing the same families come back year after year. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living and we're happy with it.
