Shrankhala Exhibition

Getting up to the third floor at B-1 227 is a bit of a workout every morning. Shrankhala Exhibition has been based here for a bit now. The space is usually filled with old posters and metal frames from past shows. We spend a lot of time on the phone or sketching out floor plans on scrap paper. It’s not a glamorous setup. There's a leak in the corner of the ceiling that we’ve tried to fix twice, but it still drips when it rains hard. Our desks are covered in tape rolls and measuring tapes. Being on the third floor means we don't hear the street noise too much, which is nice. We don't really do big advertising or anything like that. People just find us or hear about us from others. Usually, we are out at different venues more than we are in the office. When we are here, it’s mostly just catching up on paperwork and checking the inventory. The light in the hallway flickers sometimes, and we keep forgetting to tell the landlord. It feels like a lived-in space because it is. We’ve had a lot of long nights here getting ready for big exhibitions. It’s just how it goes in this line of work. No one here wears a suit unless they absolutely have to. We are more comfortable in jeans and old t-shirts while we move things around the room.
