Star Metal Works

Star Metal Works is over in New Seelampur, specifically at A-78 Gali No. 8 in Chauhan Bager. If you aren't familiar with these lanes, it can be a little tricky to navigate, but once you find Gali No. 8, we are right there. The Al-Quresh Jama Masjid is a big landmark nearby, and we usually hear the calls to prayer throughout the day while we are working. We do all kinds of metal work here. It is a loud environment with the sound of hammers and cutting tools going all the time. The shop isn't big, and it gets quite warm when we are busy, but that is the nature of working with metal. We have a small group of workers who have been with us for a long time. We don't have any corporate titles or fancy uniforms. We just wear what is comfortable and get to work. Most of our customers are from the local market or builders who need specific metal pieces made. We do everything by hand or with simple tools. It’s not a high-tech factory, just a local workshop doing its best. We like being part of the Seelampur community. There is always something happening in the street outside, children playing or vendors selling food. It’s a lively place to be, and we just keep doing our metal work day after day. We have been here for many years and know everyone on this street.
