Ambedkar Colony has a lot of small lanes and it can be a bit like a maze if you are not from around here. We have our workspace on one of the floors and it is filled with fabrics and patterns most of the time. The light is not always the best but we have plenty of lamps to see what we are doing. It is a very humble setup without any of the fancy trimmings you might find in a big fashion house. We are just a group of people working hard in a small part of Delhi 53. The sounds of the colony are always there like the bikes passing by or neighbors talking across the balconies. We have been here at Hno 211 for some time and the local shopkeepers know us well. It is a practical spot for a designer company because it keeps us close to the local energy of the city. We just get on with our sewing and cutting and sorting through the various designs we are working on at the moment.
