Our shop is tucked away in Gali No. 1 at Khajoori Khas in Bhajanpura. Number 54 is the building. If you’ve ever been to this part of Bhajanpura, you know the lanes are narrow and always full of life. We have stacks of fabrics and finished pieces piled up almost to the ceiling sometimes. It’s a bit of a maze inside Geeta Fashion, but we managed to find a system that works for us. There is always the sound of fabric being cut or the rustle of plastic bags. We don't have a fancy display window or mannequins that look like they belong in a mall. It’s just us working with what we have. Sometimes the delivery guys have a hard time finding the entrance because the gali is so busy, but we usually just shout out to them from the door. It gets quite crowded when we get a new shipment in, and we all have to jump in to clear the floor space. We have a small desk for the accounts, but it’s usually covered in samples and measuring tapes. The lighting is just basic tube lights, but it’s bright enough to see the colors clearly. Most of the people who come here are from the nearby streets. It’s a local operation, and we like it that way. We don't try to be anything we aren't; we just keep busy.
