You can find us at C-82 in Gali No. 4, over in Devi Nagar Shiv Vihar. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze getting down the lane sometimes, especially if a delivery truck is blocked by a rickshaw. We’ve been running Devansh Eng. Works from this little spot for a good while. The shop is mostly filled with the smell of burnt metal and the sound of grinders running. We do a lot of small-scale engineering jobs, like welding gates or fixing machine parts that people bring in from the local area. It’s the kind of place where you can just walk in and ask if we can weld something back together. We don't have a big office or a receptionist; usually, someone just shouts from the back if they hear you come in. The walls are stained with oil and smoke, but that’s just part of the job. Shiv Vihar is a busy neighborhood with a lot of regular people trying to make a living, and we fit right in. We take on whatever work comes through the door, whether it’s a big project or just a quick fix for a neighbor. Sometimes we stay late under the tube lights to finish a job because someone needs it for their own business the next morning. It is a simple operation, really. We just focus on getting the metal cut and joined right so it lasts. No one wears a suit here, just old clothes that can take a beating.
