Vikas Chemical Agencies

If you walk through Gandhi Market and find 5335, you’ll see our shop, Vikas Chemical Agencies. It’s a bit cramped in here because of all the containers and the desk where we keep the ledger books. We handle various chemicals that businesses around here need for their manufacturing or cleaning. Most days it’s just us moving things around and taking phone calls from people asking if we have certain supplies in stock. The market is always crowded, so getting deliveries in and out can be a real headache sometimes. You have to time it right or the truck gets stuck for an hour. The smell in the shop is always a bit sharp, something you just get used to after working here for a few weeks. It isn't a place where people hang out, it's more about getting the job done and moving on. We spend a lot of time checking labels and making sure the lids are tight. Sometimes the fans don't work as well as they should and it gets hot, but we manage. My father used to say that as long as the orders are right, the rest doesn't matter. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just supplying what’s asked for. It’s a simple business, really. We just keep our heads down and try to keep the inventory organized even though space is tight. It takes effort but it is okay.
