Universal Architect

Universal Architect is located right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Chawri Bazaar in Delhi. Our shop, number 32, has been a part of this busy market area for some time. If you know Delhi, you know how crowded and lively Chawri Bazaar is. It’s not the kind of place you’d expect to find a quiet architectural office, but we like being where the action is. Most of our work involves helping people navigate the tricky business of building or renovating in such a dense city. We deal with all sorts of clients, from shop owners to families living in the old parts of the city. There is a lot of history here, but also a lot of practical problems to solve when it comes to space and old structures. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a lot of staff in suits. It’s just a simple shop where we sit down with our drawings and tools. We spend a lot of time explaining things to people and trying to find solutions that fit their budget. It can be noisy outside, but inside we just focus on the plans. We’ve seen many changes in the bazaar over the years, and we’ve helped a lot of neighbors with their building needs. We just take things one project at a time and try to be as helpful as we can for anyone who walks in.
