Our place is at 4781, Hauz Qazi. It’s in a very busy part of the city, right by the Chawari Bzar Metro Station. If you have ever visited Hauz Qazi, you know it is always crowded and full of energy. There are shops selling all sorts of things packed tightly into every corner. Sudershan Measuring & Engineering Pvt. Ltd. is right in the middle of all that activity. Finding us can be a little tricky the first time because the lanes are narrow and there are signs everywhere, but once you spot number 4781, you are in the right place. Being close to the metro station is a big help for us because it means the staff can get here easily without fighting the heavy road traffic. The office is inside an old building with thick walls and high ceilings. It stays surprisingly cool even on the hottest days. We have our measuring tools and engineering equipment set out on some old, heavy wooden tables. It isn't one of those modern, open-plan offices; instead, it is a series of rooms filled with things we have gathered over the years. We have been in this part of Delhi for a long time and we really wouldn't want to be anywhere else. The noise from the bazaar is always there, but it just feels like home to us now. It’s where we belong and do our work.
