Relic Footwear

Bawana Industrial Area is a bit out of the way, and Section 4 is where we are located at J-2. Relic Footwear is a pretty standard setup for this part of Delhi. It’s dusty outside because of all the construction and trucks, but inside we try to keep things as organized as possible. We’ve got rows of workbenches where the footwear is assembled. It’s not a quiet place by any means. There’s always the sound of air compressors or people moving crates. We’ve got a small office tucked in the corner where we handle the bills and phone calls. The light in there isn't great, but it works for us. We don't have a big corporate structure. If something breaks, one of us usually fixes it. If a delivery is late, we are the ones calling around. It’s very hands-on. Most of our workers live nearby, so there’s a lot of local talk during the breaks. We focus on the daily grind and making sure the items are put together properly for the customers. We aren't interested in being the biggest company out there. We just want to keep the machines running and the orders filled. Sometimes we stay late when there's a deadline, and other days we close up right on time to beat the traffic back from Bawana, which can be a real mess on the roads after a long shift.
