The business, Consultency In Shoes Industry, is run out of the Mining Equipment Tool Co building in the GT Karnal Road industrial area. It's a busy spot in Delhi, mostly full of factories and workshops. We focus on the shoe trade here. People come to us when they are trying to figure out how to set up their machines or if they have trouble with the leather and materials. It's not a fancy office, just a workspace where we look at designs and talk about production schedules. My father started working with tools and then we moved into the footwear side because there was a lot of demand in this part of town. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy with the traffic outside, but that’s just how it is in this industrial zone. We spend most of our time looking at samples and checking if the stitching is right. If a factory is having a hard time with their output, they give us a call and we go over there to see what's going on. We've been at 77 B for a while now. Most people around here know where the Mining Equipment building is. It's easy to find if you're coming from the main road. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know the shoe business inside out. We try to keep things simple and just focus on the work that needs doing today. It’s hard work but shoes are something everyone needs. My cousin helps with the heavy lifting when we get new machine parts in, and we just keep the doors open through most of the day.
