Our factory is tucked away in Janta Market, which is part of the huge Sadar Bazar area. The address is 5394, A/12, but even with that, it can be a bit of a maze to find us the first time. We spend our days making bags of all kinds—mostly the practical stuff people use for shopping or carrying their daily gear. It’s a noisy place because we have several sewing machines running at the same time. The air is always full of the smell of new fabric and thread. We aren't a big corporation; it’s just a local operation where everyone knows each other. My father started this a long time ago, and we’ve stayed in the same spot because the market is where all the action is. We don't have a fancy office or a receptionist. If you come by, you’ll probably see me or one of the workers covered in scraps of cloth. We try to keep up with the demand, but sometimes the machines break down and we have to spend the afternoon fixing them instead of sewing. That’s just part of the job. We sell to a lot of the smaller shops around Delhi. It’s hard work and the hours are long, but there’s a certain satisfaction in seeing someone walking down the street carrying a bag that came out of our little corner in Sadar Bazar. We just keep moving forward with what we have here.
