Dhingra Bag House

You can find Dhingra Bag House on the ground floor of the Star Hotel Building, number 1338 on Qutab Road. We are right in the thick of Sadar Bazar. It’s a busy spot, and the traffic outside never really stops. The shop is part of an old building, so the walls are thick and the air is a bit heavy. We have bags hanging from hooks on the ceiling and stacked on every available inch of floor space. It’s a bit of a maze inside. I usually sit at the small desk near the front to handle the cash and talk to anyone who walks in. We aren't interested in being a big fancy brand. We just sell bags that do what they are supposed to do. My father took over this spot years ago, and I just kept it running. We get all kinds of people coming in, from shopkeepers to regular families. The light from the street doesn't reach the back of the shop, so we rely on some old tube lights. Sometimes we lose track of time because it’s so busy. We don't have a fancy way of doing things. We just use a paper ledger to keep track of what goes out. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. If the fans are on, it’s loud, but at least it stays a bit cool. We are just a local shop in an old building doing our thing.
