You can find Parkash Medicine Co. up on the second floor of Building No. 1596. We are right in the middle of Bhagirath Place in the Chandni Chowk area. If you have ever been to this part of the city, you already know how crowded and narrow the lanes can be. Being up on the second floor means we are a little bit away from the chaos of the street level, but the noise of the market still finds its way up to us. We have been in this building for a very long time. It is an old structure with a lot of history and character. We do not have a massive amount of room, so every single corner of the shop is filled with some kind of stock. We deal with wholesale medicines for the most part. It involves a lot of lifting and moving heavy boxes around all day. The stairs can be quite a workout if you are going up and down them many times. We know most of the other people who work in this building. It is a tight community of traders and businessmen. We do not use any slick language or corporate talk to describe what we do. We are just a local medicine company doing our business in one of the oldest markets in the country. Chandni Chowk is a tough place to work sometimes because of the heat and the crowds, but it is just how things are here.
