There’s people everywhere, carts pushing through the lanes, and someone always shouting about something. We’ve been here for quite a while now. Our shop is narrow and filled to the ceiling with stock. We use every inch of space we have, even the rafters. It’s a bit of a maze inside, but we know exactly where everything is kept. We mostly sell to regular wholesalers who come in from all over. It’s a loud place to work, but you get used to the noise after a few weeks. Sometimes we have to climb over boxes just to get to the back. We don’t really have a lunch break; we just eat whenever there’s a gap in the customers. My father started this place, and I’ve been here since I was a kid. It’s not a corporate office with air conditioning and quiet halls. It’s hot, crowded, and busy. We don’t spend money on advertising because the market brings the people to us anyway. We just try to keep the prices fair and the stock moving out.
