Ankur Gupta’s team works out of the Bawana site office. It’s a functional space, built for utility rather than looks. Since we’re on-site, the environment is pretty busy and loud. There are always people coming in with updates or asking for directions. We have a few desks crammed into the space and plenty of filing cabinets. It’s the kind of place where you always know what’s happening because you can hear the work going on just outside the door. We don’t spend much time on aesthetics. The furniture is mismatched, and the lighting is just okay. But it serves its purpose perfectly. We’re here to manage things on the ground, so being right at the site is essential. It saves us a lot of time. We’ve got a kettle for tea and a small fridge for lunches. It’s a simple life here. We start early, often before the sun is fully up, to get a head start on the day’s tasks. There’s a lot of paperwork to keep track of, even in a site office. We try to stay as organized as possible despite the chaos of a busy site. It’s a straightforward way of working. We don't bother with corporate jargon. We just talk like normal people and get the job done. That’s how we’ve always operated here in Bawana. It works well for us and the crew.
