Abhishek Jain

I work out of House Number 2578 in Gali Peepal Wali. It’s in the Dharampura area of Kinari Bazar, right in the heart of Chandni Chowk. If you know the old city, you know how narrow the lanes are. You can’t really bring a car here; you have to walk or take a rickshaw through the crowds. My place is right among the shops and the busy people. Abhishek Jain is the name on the door, and I’ve been here for a long time. It’s an old building with a lot of character, though the stairs are a bit steep and narrow. I don't have a big staff or a fancy setup with modern furniture. It’s just me and a couple of others handling the daily business tasks. The area is famous for all sorts of things, but for me, it’s just home and work. Every morning, the market wakes up with a lot of noise, and it doesn't stop until late at night. I spend my time talking to people who drop by and sorting through whatever paperwork needs doing. There’s no corporate strategy or big business plan here. I just take things as they come and try to get them finished. Sometimes it’s extremely busy, and other times it’s a bit slow. Living and working in Chandni Chowk means you are never bored because there is always something happening outside. It’s a lot of hard work keeping things running in such a crowded and old place. I just stay here and do my bit.
