Ambey Bangle Store

Sadar Bazar is a loud, crowded place, and we are right in the middle of it at 5126, Ist Floor, Main Rui Mandi. You have to climb the stairs to get to us, which keeps things a bit quieter than the street level, but not by much. You can still hear the vendors shouting and the carts rattling along the road. Ambey Bangle Store has been up here for a while. The room is filled with bangles of all sorts, stacked up on the shelves. It gets a bit dusty because of all the activity in Rui Mandi, so we are always wiping things down. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. If you ask for a specific color, we usually know exactly which box it’s in without looking too hard. The building is old, and the walls have some marks on them, but it’s a solid place. Working in Sadar Bazar means you have to be okay with a bit of chaos. We drink a lot of tea to stay focused. People come from all over to shop in this market, so we see many different faces every day. It’s a lot of work, especially during the festival seasons when the whole street is packed. We just keep our heads down and keep serving whoever walks through the door. Sometimes the lights hum a little, but you get used to it after a while.
