Wonderland Academy

Wonderland Academy is just a small spot here on East Ghosh Para Road in Shyamnagar. We've been at number 38 for quite a while now. Most people around North 24 Parganas probably know the building by now. It’s not a huge fancy place, but we have enough rooms for the kids. Every morning the street gets a bit busy when parents drop their little ones off. The teachers usually get here early to set things up before the noise starts. We have some wooden benches outside where people wait. Inside, there are desks and posters on the walls, mostly stuff the kids made themselves in class. It’s not perfect, some of the paint needs a touch-up here and there, but it feels like home to us. We spend a lot of time just making sure the children are doing their work and not getting into too much trouble. Lunchtime is always the loudest part of the day. You can hear the shouting and laughing from the street. After the kids leave, it gets really quiet and we just tidy up for the next morning. It’s a lot of work running a place like this in Shyamnagar, but we are used to the rhythm of it. Most of the staff live nearby, so we all know each other well. We just try to keep things moving along and make sure every student has a chair and a book. It's just a normal school doing normal things every day.
