Central Model School

This school is located in Sani Park Kannyanagar, which is part of the Gram Panchayat Chandi in Amtala. Being in the South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, we deal with a lot of rain and humidity. The school is right there in Kannya Nagar, and the local families know us well. It’s a busy building with a lot of stairs and narrow hallways that get crowded when the classes change. We have a playground that often gets a bit muddy during the monsoon, so the kids end up bringing a lot of dirt back into the classrooms. We don't have a big maintenance crew, so the teachers and the local staff often chip in to keep things tidy. The classrooms are basic, with old-fashioned benches and fans that rattle a little bit when they’re on high speed. It’s a noisy place, with the sound of the nearby shops and traffic mixing with the lessons. We just focus on the daily grind, making sure the attendance is taken and the lessons are taught. There is always a lot of paperwork to handle in the office, and the desks there are piled high with files. It’s a simple, local school where everyone knows everyone else. We don’t have any big corporate backing, just the people from the community coming together to keep the doors open and the lights on for the students every day.
