Uttam Machinery

Uttam Machinery is located at 416 Jessore Road in the Dum Dum area. If you know this road, you know it can get incredibly busy with all the trucks and traffic. Our shop is right in the middle of it. We deal with different types of machinery and spare parts. It’s a greasy, metallic kind of environment, but that’s the nature of the business. We’ve got shelves full of parts that have been sitting there for a while alongside the new stuff. People come to us when they need something fixed or a specific part for their equipment. We aren't fancy salespeople. We just know our way around the machines we sell. The shop floor is usually a bit cluttered, and there’s always the sound of metal clanking or someone testing a motor. We’ve been here in Dum Dum for a long time. The building is old and the paint is peeling in some spots, but it serves its purpose. We don't use big words or try to impress anyone. We just listen to what the customer needs and see if we have it in stock. Sometimes we have to dig through the back to find a rare piece of hardware that has been there for years. It’s hard work and your hands are rarely clean at the end of the day, but it’s what we do. We just keep the doors open and try to be helpful to whoever walks in.
