Papilon International

Our place, Papilon International, is located out in Kalipark, near the Rajarhat-Gopalpur area. It’s a bit away from the main city center of Kolkata, which we actually prefer. The air is a little different here, and there’s more room to breathe. We run a fairly straightforward operation. We deal with international trade, which sounds a lot more exciting than it actually is on a Tuesday morning when you're staring at a pile of shipping documents. Most of our time is spent coordinating between suppliers and making sure the boxes get where they need to go. We have a small office and a bit of storage space that always seems to be overflowing with something new. The staff here are locals, mostly people who live a short bus ride away. We don't have a dress code or fancy meetings. Usually, we just sit around the main table and figure out the day’s problems. Rajarhat is growing fast, and we’ve seen more buildings pop up around us every year. It used to be much quieter, but the change is okay. We just keep doing our thing, making sure the goods are packed right and the addresses are correct. It’s not a complicated life, but it keeps us busy and the bills paid. We just focus on the daily tasks and try not to get too stressed when a shipment is delayed. It is just us here in Kalipark.
