Three Clothing is over in Pratap Vihar, Khora Colony. It’s right near Sector 62 in Noida, which is a pretty industrial area. Our building at E-72 is usually filled with the sound of sewing machines humming along. It’s quite noisy most of the day, so you have to raise your voice if you want to talk to someone on the other side of the room. We have piles of fabric scraps and spools of thread everywhere. It’s not the cleanest place in terms of dust, but that’s just what happens when you’re cutting and stitching all day. The workers are busy at their stations, and there is always a sense of a deadline hanging over us. We don’t have a fancy reception area. If you come to see us, you’ll probably walk right into the middle of the production floor. The commute for some of us is a bit long, but this location works for getting the materials we need from suppliers. We spend our time checking seams and making sure the sizes are what they are supposed to be. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but we’ve got a rhythm down now. On hot days, the warehouse gets pretty stuffy, so we try to keep the big fans going. It’s a straightforward garment business where we focus on the clothes and not much else. No fancy office furniture here, just workbenches, iron stations, and plenty of coffee to keep us going.
