Simran Creation

We’re over at C 72 Sector 10. Simran Creation has been our little project for a while now. It’s a straightforward setup. We focus on making clothes that people actually want to wear every day. The neighborhood is mostly other small businesses and workshops, so it feels like a hard-working area. We spend most of our time at the cutting tables or behind the machines. It isn't a glamorous job, but we like it. The walls are lined with threads of every color you can think of. Sometimes we lose track of time when we're trying to get a pattern just right. We’ve had some of the same customers coming to us since we first opened the doors. They know we’re just regular people trying to make a living. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. Word usually gets around just by people talking to their friends or neighbors. Our space is functional—nothing more, nothing less. We keep the kettle going for tea and try to stay on top of the orders. It gets a bit chaotic during the busy seasons, but we’ve learned how to handle the rush. We’re just happy to be here in Sector 10 doing what we do. It’s not fancy, but it’s ours. We usually lock up around seven once the sun starts going down and the street gets quiet. We’ve put a lot of work into this place and we hope to stay here for a long time.
